Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Roadmap OS desktop application and web services (collectively, the "Service") provided by Roadmap OS ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of the Service
Roadmap OS is an offline-first product management application that includes roadmap planning, go-to-market readiness, task management, KPI tracking, capacity planning, and AI-powered artifact generation. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Roadmap OS is offered under two paid plans: Standard ($17/month) and Pro ($25/month). All payments are processed by Paystack. Subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period -- you retain access until then. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.
5. Your data
You own all data you create within the Service. Your data is stored locally on your machine and, if you enable cloud sync, on our servers. We do not claim any ownership or intellectual property rights over your content. You may export or delete your data at any time.
6. AI features
The Service includes optional AI-powered features that use third-party AI providers. You supply your own API keys. We do not proxy, store, or log your API keys or the content of your AI requests. You are responsible for your use of third-party AI services and for complying with their respective terms.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, to attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, to reverse-engineer or decompile the application, or to interfere with the Service's operation. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Roadmap OS and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
10. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. If we make significant changes, we will provide at least 14 days' notice before the new terms take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and contacting us to delete your account. Upon termination, your local data remains on your machine. Cloud data will be retained for 30 days to allow export, after which it may be deleted.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
